Literally sang the "all around me are familiar faces" meme song when I saw the end of the demo screen. A daddy long leg spider the size of my palm almost crawled on me and I didn't immediately panic because my love for this story dampened my shock and disgust for the insect. I love this story so much.
Made an account just so I could express how close this story is to my heart!! The writing style, the story, and especially the characters are so fleshed out it brings a tear to my eye :'). It was surprisingly really easy to get immersed into this and I find myself coming back to reread it because I genuinely just miss the world and its characters. During the talk with Siruud on first return home from the office. In regards to his comment about mutual murder not possible, if the "And how do we know that, mmh?" is chosen, and then one of the side menus is opened (e.g. saves, but no saves were loaded), and then clicked the button return to the game, the content of the text will change to something corresponding to if the third option about not knowing that the PC can't kill Siruud was chosen instead. Also the next choice after that, if Siruud offers to let the PC try to kill him, and "Are you insane?" is chosen instead of taking him up on it, then the transition at the end "But that doesn't solve our problems" (don't remember exact wording) is clicked on, the following passage always leads to "I knew you couldn't", as if the PC had actually tried to kill him (even though such an option was never chosen or described).
Hope that's not too confusing to read. Best I can do to be extra clear on what option I was talking about. It's late and I've been up all night.
Will follow up on more feedback when I can. The game hasn't appeared to have been updated in a year. Would love to read a complete project. Please finish it.

I'll definitely have a look at this when I can get to it, and don't worry, it's still an active project, I just have another game that required a full transfer to a different engine (the same way that BR did an update ago, but with a few more complicated mechanics) and a freelance writing job that eats up quite a bit of my time (gotta priotize the thing that pays my rent though 😅). It's a very thorough bug report though, so thank you!
1) I'm seeing that navigating away from the page is erasing the reaction-dependent text, like you said. I think that's an error with how the incremental code runs (ie when you pick a reaction, it changes the variable $_reaction to either charismatic, compassionate, or irritable; this is then used to increment your player personality (giving you one point higher in one of the three personality types), and then erased so it isn't constantly changing even when you don't choose anything). In theory, it shouldn't be running on utility pages like the save dialogue: I'll need to have a look at what the hell is going on there, which might take a hot second.
Overall, I don't think you're seeing dialogue-dependent text when you navigate BACK to that page: you're just seeing the general text that appears regardless of what you choose, to rejoin the branching dialogue.
2) In the same vein as the last part of the other bug, Siruud will always mock you for not being able to kill him, even if you never even tried to. It's because he's a jerk, and assumes that your moral stance against killing him for no reason is a weakness, the same as he views your last minute refusal to go through with your attempt at violence as a weakness: weird guy! I'd like to hope it just read weird because you had a bumpy few passages 😅
This game is absolutely stellar! The writing and characters are to die for, I can't wait to see what happens in the next update! 💘 Thanks so much for making such an entertaining story!

OH, well. The way that Twine works is that it uses cookies to store your save in the browser, so I'm not entirely confident that you'll be able to move it over directly (depending on how your browser is set up it might be a thing, but as far as I know it isn't). The build a save feature is meant to allow you to start from where you were though, while setting all the necessary variables!
